Ingredients:
- 2 cans (15 oz each) sliced peaches in heavy syrup
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions:
- Pour the two cans of sliced peaches, including all the syrup, directly into a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon evenly over the peaches and stir in the vanilla extract using a fork to ensure an even layer.
- Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the top of the peaches, leveling the powder with a spoon without stirring it into the fruit.
- Pour the melted butter evenly across the cake mix to ensure full coverage with no dry spots of flour.
- Place in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) and bake for 50-60 minutes until the edges are bubbling and the top is a deep mahogany-gold.
- Let the cake sit for 10 minutes before serving to allow the fruit syrup to set.
