Ingredients:
- 1 lb lean ground beef (90% lean or higher)
- 1 tbsp onion soup mix
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 pack (12 count) Hawaiian rolls
- 6 slices reduced-fat sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp thinly sliced red onion
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions:
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the lean ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned and fragrant.
- Stir in the onion soup mix, garlic powder, and black pepper. Drain any residual liquid from the meat.
- Slice the entire pack of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally.
- Place the bottom half of the rolls into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Layer the cooked beef evenly across the bottom rolls, then top with thinly sliced red onions and reduced-fat cheddar cheese slices.
- Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese layer.
- Whisk together the melted butter, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Brush the glaze generously over the tops of the buns.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are mahogany-colored.
