  • 1 lb lean ground beef (90% lean or higher)
  • 1 tbsp onion soup mix
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the lean ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned and fragrant.
  3. Stir in the onion soup mix, garlic powder, and black pepper. Drain any residual liquid from the meat.
  4. Slice the entire pack of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally.
  5. Place the bottom half of the rolls into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  6. Layer the cooked beef evenly across the bottom rolls, then top with thinly sliced red onions and reduced-fat cheddar cheese slices.
  7. Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese layer.
  8. Whisk together the melted butter, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
  9. Brush the glaze generously over the tops of the buns.
  10. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are mahogany-colored.
