Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups (150g) Graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/3 cup (65g) Granulated sugar
  • 6 tbsp (85g) Unsalted butter, melted

Instructions:

  1. If using whole crackers, pulse them in a food processor until they reach a fine, sand-like consistency; otherwise, crush them in a heavy-duty Ziploc bag. In a medium bowl, stir together the crumbs and sugar until fully integrated.
  2. Pour the melted butter over the crumb mixture and stir with a spatula until the mixture looks like wet sand and no dry clumps remain.
  3. Dump the mixture into a 9-inch pie plate or springform pan. Using the bottom of a flat measuring cup, press the crumbs firmly into the bottom and approximately 1 inch up the sides.
  4. Place the pan in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) and bake for 8 to 10 minutes until the edges turn deep golden brown and it emits a nutty aroma.
  5. Remove from the oven and let the crust cool completely to room temperature before adding filling to ensure it sets.
