Ingredients:

  • 1 jar (15 oz / 425g) Trader Joes Fall Pasta Sauce
  • 1 tbsp (14g) unsalted butter
  • 1 small (50g) shallot, finely minced
  • 2 cloves (6g) garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp (2g) fresh sage, finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp (1.5g) crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) heavy cream
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Place a skillet over medium heat. Add the butter and allow it to melt until it begins to foam.
  2. Stir in the minced shallots and cook for 3–4 minutes until translucent and fragrant.
  3. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, stirring for another 60 seconds until the garlic is golden.
  4. Add the chopped fresh sage to the butter mixture and stir constantly for about 1 minute until the sage becomes slightly crisp.
  5. Pour the entire jar of Trader Joes Fall Pasta Sauce into the skillet and stir to combine.
  6. Reduce heat to low and simmer gently for 5 minutes.
  7. Stir in the heavy cream to reach desired consistency, remove from heat, and stir in the lemon juice.
  8. Taste and season with salt and black pepper.
