Ingredients:
- 1 jar (15 oz / 425g) Trader Joes Fall Pasta Sauce
- 1 tbsp (14g) unsalted butter
- 1 small (50g) shallot, finely minced
- 2 cloves (6g) garlic, minced
- 1 tsp (2g) fresh sage, finely chopped
- 1/4 tsp (1.5g) crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp (15ml) fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup (60ml) heavy cream
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Place a skillet over medium heat. Add the butter and allow it to melt until it begins to foam.
- Stir in the minced shallots and cook for 3–4 minutes until translucent and fragrant.
- Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, stirring for another 60 seconds until the garlic is golden.
- Add the chopped fresh sage to the butter mixture and stir constantly for about 1 minute until the sage becomes slightly crisp.
- Pour the entire jar of Trader Joes Fall Pasta Sauce into the skillet and stir to combine.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer gently for 5 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream to reach desired consistency, remove from heat, and stir in the lemon juice.
- Taste and season with salt and black pepper.
