  • 2 slices (55g) mild honey ham
  • 2 slices (40g) mild cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp (5ml) honey
  • 1/2 cup (75g) seedless cucumber slices
  • 1/2 cup (70g) blueberries
  • 1/4 cup (30g) pretzels

Instructions:

  1. Flatten the bread slices slightly with your palm and use a circular cookie cutter to punch out 4-6 uniform discs. Slice the dinner rolls in half horizontally.
  2. Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on the bread base from edge to edge to create a moisture barrier.
  3. Layer the lean turkey or ham on the bread, followed by a slice of cheddar cheese. Press down firmly to lock the ingredients together.
  4. For a sweet variation, spread a thin layer of honey on the bread and top with a slice of cheese or apple.
  5. Place the mini sandwiches in the largest compartment of the bento box.
  6. Arrange the cucumber slices, blueberries, and pretzels in the remaining dividers, ensuring no ingredients overlap.
