Ingredients:
- 1.5 cups Whole Raw Almonds
- 1 tsp Toasted Sesame Oil
- 3 tbsp Fresh Ginger, peeled and roughly chopped
- 2 Garlic Cloves, freshly peeled
- 1 tbsp Sambal Oelek or Chili Flakes
- 0.25 cup Low-Sodium Tamari or Soy Sauce
- 3 tbsp Rice Vinegar
- 2 tbsp Honey or Maple Syrup
- 0.25 cup Warm Water
Instructions:
- Place 1.5 cups whole raw almonds in the food processor. Pulse until they look like coarse sand.
- Toss in the ginger and garlic. Process for 30 seconds until the mixture looks like wet crumbs.
- Drizzle in 1 tsp toasted sesame oil and 1 tbsp Sambal Oelek. Pulse to combine.
- Pour in 0.25 cup Tamari, 3 tbsp rice vinegar, and 2 tbsp honey.
- With the motor running, slowly stream in 0.25 cup warm water.
- Continue processing for 2-3 minutes until the sauce turns velvety and pale. Note: If it's too thick, add water 1 tablespoon at a time.
