Ingredients:

  • 1 box (425g) chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 cup (170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and eggs. Stir until the mixture is smooth.
  3. Gradually fold in the boxed chocolate cake mix, mixing until a thick dough forms and no dry streaks remain.
  4. Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips using a spatula, ensuring they are distributed but not over-mixed.
  5. Line baking sheets with parchment paper. Use a cookie scoop to drop rounded tablespoons of dough 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 9–11 minutes until the edges look set and matte, but the centers remain soft. Allow to firm up on the pan.
